The biscuit selfies were the real highlight of last night's Great British Bake Off

We’re sure there’s plenty more where that came from.

LAST NIGHT, THE Great British Bake Off finally returned to our screens and people were very excited.

It’s the perfect comfort TV to ease viewers of all ages back into the horrors of back-to-school season. The lineup this year did not disappoint. 

To mark biscuit week, the contestants were asked to make biscuit self portraits.

What could possibly go wrong? Here’s what they turned out like.

Yeah, you’re probably wondering what the hell that first one was supposed to be. Here’s a closer look. That’s a baby in a pink blanket, btw. 

Yep, new contestant Dan was the first to fall victim to the whole accidentally-making-something-that-looked-vaguely-like-a-penis thing, and plenty of viewers shared their amusement on Twitter.

It probably could have been worse though. We still have to commend his work.

Paul Hollywood’s first impression, however? Prawn.

And it’s only the first episode, which means there are plenty more mishaps to look forward to in the coming weeks.
